Yay!!! As of today lesson #1 has been downloaded over 100 times, which is a sum far greater than I had originally expected even for the first year. Thanks for the support and the interest internet.

  1. Dear Sir, I recently came across your podcast and would like to thank you for the first lesson. I have been a guitarist for years and learned piano, which is theory intense when I was much younger, your definitions are very clear and concise. I also like the order your presenting this rather complex information. My goal is to play any song I hear and eventually recreate songs in the style of my favorites by reverse engineering. Presently my program is 30 min of eartraining, 30 min of a song slowly played, 30 min application (i.e. scales, chords ,etc. along the fretboard using the caged system, and the 16th note alphabet and the triplet alphabet. I believe this is doable and will bring to my goals that of being to play for an audience quickly and competently. Music is such a far-reaching subject that we all have to break it into smaller pieces. I compare it a wheel. If Music is the hub than the spokes are theory, eartraining, understanding song, etc. It doesn't matter which spoke you take as long as it works. if you wish to comment please contact me at ericfoster007@gmail.com. Respectfully Eric Foster
